Faraj Khan Pathan

Faraj Khan Pathan was born on March 14, 1999, in Plano, Texas. He was raised in a close-knit family in North Texas. During his high school years, Pathan developed an interest in cybersecurity through building computers and assisting local nonprofits with their account security.

Pathan attended the University of Texas at Dallas, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Systems. His coursework included a focus on cybersecurity, identity governance, risk management, and cloud security.

Pathan's career has focused on cybersecurity and AI compliance. He began his professional career with an internship at Active Cyber from June to November 2021, focusing on Identity and Access Management (IAM). He then joined Deloitte, where he held positions as a Cyber Risk Intern, Cyber Risk Analyst, and Cybersecurity Consultant.

Currently, Pathan is a Senior Associate in AI Security and Compliance at Alvarez & Marsal. His work involves integrating client identity systems with platforms such as Okta Single Sign-On (SSO), Ping Federate, and Saviynt Identity Cloud. Pathan’s responsibilities include documentation, requirements gathering, facilitating client workshops, and managing cloud identity, stakeholder communication, and compliance operations. He is proficient in Microsoft Azure, Open Banking, and Microsoft Project, and utilizes negotiation and agile methodologies in his projects. Pathan frequently travels for consulting projects.
