Faraj Khan Pathan

Faraj Khan Pathan was born on March 14, 1999, in Plano, Texas. He was raised in a close-knit family in North Texas. Pathan's interest in computers and technology began in high school, where he built computers and assisted local non-profit organizations with their account security.

Pathan attended the University of Texas at Dallas, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology and Systems. His coursework included a focus on cybersecurity, identity governance, risk management, and cloud security, providing a foundation for his future career.

Pathan's career has centered on cybersecurity and AI compliance. He began as a Cyber Risk Intern at Deloitte, later transitioning to a Cyber Risk Analyst and then a Cybersecurity Consultant at the same firm. His work at Deloitte involved integrating client identity systems with Okta Single Sign-On (SSO), Ping Federate, and Saviynt Identity Cloud, supporting financial advisory cybersecurity clients.

Pathan also gained experience in documentation, requirements gathering, client workshops, cloud identity, and stakeholder communication. In June 2021, he served as an IAM Intern at Active Cyber, further developing his expertise in the field. He is currently a Senior Associate in AI Security and Compliance at Alvarez & Marsal. Pathan's skills include information security, identity governance, Microsoft Azure, Open Banking, Microsoft Project, negotiation, and agile methodologies.

Pathan holds certifications as an Okta Certified Professional and Okta Certified Administrator.

During his time as an undergraduate, Pathan served as the treasurer for Pi Kappa Phi fraternity from 2020 to 2022, where he oversaw finances totaling over $100,000 annually.

In his leisure time, Pathan plays recreational golf and helps organize community fundraising outings.
